Winchester Model 1890, Manufactured in 1911.
The original “Take Down” rifle. This was the first “Take down” and repeating slide action .22 rifle ever successfully developed and manufactured.
Approximately 849,000 Model 1890 rifles were produced between 1890 and 1932, after which Model 1890 was replaced by the Model 62.
Caliber for this rifle is the .22 Winchester Rim fire. In 1901, the case hardened receiver was changed to blued and had a grooved slide handle.
Rifle has a great bore and super nice action. Finish is aged and mostly a gray patina with no rust. Stock set is very solid as well with just normal aging and use marks. This is a 100% original rifle that has not been altered, in very desirable configuration and condition.
